Phoenix Theatre has enjoyed a remarkable renaissance over the past few seasons, and is poised for even more exciting times. Planning is underway for a renovation of our Mainstage and an addition of a new, flexible theatre space. Construction begins in 2007, supported in part by funding from the City of Phoenix Cultural Facilities Bond. Your contribution to Phoenix Theatre NOW will help us develop programs and possibilities for an ever-more-exciting future.
We work hard each and every day to improve the Valley’s cultural richness. We use top-notch local professional talent to create and perform fun, enjoyable musicals and plays. We do our best to develop unique and memorable outreach programs that inspire children and adults on the benefits of live performing arts. Not only are we leaders within the performing arts world, but we also support other nonprofits by providing them with affordable theatrical services and facilities.
By supporting us, you not only support the longest running arts organization in Arizona, but one of the best. As admirable as putting on quality productions and nurturing a love of the arts in children is, it takes community support to supplement the dollars we receive from sponsorships and ticket sales. Upcoming 2007 Events
May 9 is our First Preview Night Reception for the World Musical Premiere of Dream a Little Dream, The Nearly True Story of the Mamas and the Papas at the Phoenix Theatre Studio beginning at 6:30 p.m. for Encore Society members only (Show begins at 8:00 p.m.)
September 6 we will be gathering at the beautiful new home of Ira & Cheryl Gaines to kick off the second season of our new premier individual donor club, the Encore Society! Phoenix Theatre senior management and your favorite Phoenix Theatre performers will be present to entertain and educate all the attendees on the unique benefits of becoming a PT Encore Society member.
October 18 & 19 is our 5th Annual Phoenix Follies!—an uproarious experience filled with hysterical performances in this visually stunning musical production. Join Melissa Leonesio - Chair and Rich Boals - Honorary Chair and Our Men of Character Honorees: Ben Campbell, Mark Hiegel and Craig Jackson as we enjoy an evening where community leaders and professional actors join together on-stage for this unique event: Thursday night October 18th is our Opening Night and party. On the 19th is the Gala Night and formal dinner.
