Through music, dance, drama, video and sheer youthful energy, It’s My Life takes an in-depth look at the mysterious plant that has captivated and decimated Western civilization for centuries. This musical production depicts the addictive properties of nicotine. It also graphically displays an array of medical consequences that Big Tobacco doesn’t address in their high-dollar advertising campaigns.
 
Rather than simply preach, this musical uses the magical medium of Broadway musical theater to present a tobacco-free message that reaches the hearts and minds of elementary and middle school kids. Michael Barnard, Artistic Director of Phoenix Theatre, composed It’s My Life, in addition to other theatrical productions that deliver health messages to thousands of youth. Sue Sisley, M.D., the Chief Executive Officer of Ensuring Tomorrow Productions, produces It’s My Life, along with other award-winning health musical productions which tour to schools statewide. These musical productions have been awarded the prestigious President’s Point of Light Award, the Hon Kachina Award, and numerous commendations from various government, arts and medical organizations.
